From JSPL to Maharashtra Seamless, these companies have seen promoters increase their stake in the recent past with stocks having corrected over 30% from their respective peaks.
Market veteran Raamdeo Agrawal of Motilal Oswal Financial Services told CNBC-TV18 in an exclusive interaction on Monday said that there might come a time in two to three months where promoters start buying shares of their own companies.
“These guys (promoters) are the smartest. They know the value of their company. So when the promoter starts buying, those will be the companies to track,” he told CNBC-TV18 on Monday. Here is a look at companies where promoters have recently increased their stake.
TD Power | Promoters bought 15,100 shares from the open market in February 2025. The stock is down 33% from its peak.
JSPL | Promoters bought 0.96% stake in the company in February 2025. As of December 2024, promoter holdings stood at 61.19%. The stock is down 21% from its recent high.
Maharashtra Seamless | Promoters of the company have bought 0.5% stake, increasing their tally from the 68.07% stake they held at the end of the December quarter. The stock is down 37% from its recent high.
Quess Corp | Promoters of the company have been consistently increasing their stake in the company. What stood at 51.9% in December 2022, increased to 56.75% in March 2023. The company recently announced further promoter buying, taking the total stake to 57.06%.
Snowman Logistics | Promoters Gateway Distriparks have made their intent clear to increase stake in the company, as they have done so over the last two years. From 40.25% in March 2023, the promoter stake in Snowman now stands at 50% at the end of the December quarter.
Fairchem Organics | Promoters of the company acquired nearly 3% stake between the October-December quarter, taking their overall stake to 61.2% from 58.71% earlier.
Mangalam Cement | Promoters have also increased their stake in this smallcap cement company to 38.07% currently from 36.94% at the end of the September quarter.
