Tourism Finance Share Price: Ekta Halwasiya buys stock for second day in a row

Shares of Tourism Finance Corporation of India Ltd. will remain in focus on Tuesday, January 6, after Ekta Halwasiya’s name appeared in the list of buyers of the stock for the second day running on Monday.Available data shows that Ekta Halwasiya bought 92 lakh shares of the company on Monday, at an average price of ₹56.01 per share. This is after she had acquired 3.7 lakh shares of the company last Friday.
Ekta Halwasiya’s name does not feature in the list of public shareholders of Tourism Finance at the end of the September quarter. Investor and promoter of Cupid Ltd., Aditya Halwasiya has over 18% stake in Tourism Finance as of September 30.
Both companies are yet to disclose shareholding patterns for the December-ended quarter.After declining to a 20% lower circuit last Friday, Tourism Finance made announcements with regards to being anchor investors for two Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), the registration applications for whom have been sent to market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Tourism Finance Corporation’s shares ended at a 20% upper circuit on Monday, recovering all of Friday’s losses. Monday’s trading volumes were 2.5 times higher than Friday and also marked the third straight session where over 1 crore shares were traded in a single session.

Out of the 10.8 crore shares that were traded on Monday, 2.9 crore shares were marked for delivery, according to NSE data.

Shares of Tourism Finance Corporation of India have nearly doubled in the last 12 months.
