Meanwhile, Trump confirmed the scheduled call earlier on Truth Social, posting, “Will be speaking to President Putin of Russia at 10:00 AM. Thankyou.”After the conversation, Trump shared a brief update on his Truth Social platform.
“We had a call. It was a pretty long call. We talked about a lot of things, including Iran. We also talked about the war with Ukraine. I am not happy about that… No, I didn’t make any progress with him (Russian President Putin) today…” he said.

There’s been no official release from the White House or the Kremlin so far. The contents of the call remain limited to what Trump disclosed online. This call comes as global pressure mounts on both sides to ease the Ukraine conflict.
In sharp contrast to his urgency to take a call from Trump on Thursday, Putin made his US counterpart wait in March this year.
They had a call scheduled between 4 pm and 6 pm Russian time (6.30 pm to 8.30 pm IST). At the time, Putin was attending a conference with Russian business leaders in Moscow and reportedly kept Trump waiting for over an hour.
