Trump says ‘clock is ticking for Iran’, warns of further strike

Date:

The war in West Asia has not seen no meaningful breakthrough yet. Reports show Trump is weighing options on military actions in Iran. Meanwhile, Wall Street futures continued to trade losses on Sunday evening local time while crude prices tick higher. Follow along for latest on the War in West Asia.

US-Iran War Live Updates: US President Donald Trump said that “the clock is ticking” for Iran and warned there might not be “anything left of them”.

Axios further reported that Trump is expected to meet his top national security advisers on Tuesday, May 19, to discuss options for military action regarding Iran.

Saudi Arabia said it intercepted three drone attacks from Iraqi airspace.

Israel and Lebanon, on the other hand, have agreed to extend the ceasefire for another 45 days after talks concluded in Washington on Friday, May 15. However, the previous ceasefire did not prevent the Hezbollah and Israeli military from carrying out strikes against each other.

Meanwhile, it should also be noted that the BRICS gathering of foreign ministers of emerging economies ended last week without a joint statement due to differences over the war in West Asia. “There were differing views among some members as regards the situation in the West Asia/Middle East region,” host country India said in the statement.

Follow us for the latest updates on the war in West Asia and how the world reacts to it.
