Trump says US is going to send Iran to ‘stone ages where it belongs’, vows attacks for next 2-3 weeks

Date:

United States President Donald Trump addressed his nation and the world on the US position on the ongoing war that the US and Israel waged on Iran more than a month ago.The US President on April 1 (US local time) said that the US military obliterated the Iranian Navy and the Air Force and America has been “winning bigger than ever before”.

He also justified pulling out of the nuclear deal with Iran that was signed by former US President Barack Obama.
While Trump mentioned that Iran is not a threat anymore for the world or its neighbours in West Asia, Trump did not announce any cessation of US military actions. Instead, he vowed to escalate attacks on Iran for the next two to three weeks and sending Iran back to the stone-ages “where it belongs”.
“We will continue until our objectives are fully achieved. Thanks to the progress we’ve made, I can say we are on track to complete all of America’s military objectives shortly, very shortly,” US President Trump said.”We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We are going to bring them back to the stone ages where they belong,” he added.

In the meantime, discussions are ongoing, Trump further said.

On the Strait of Hormuz, the US President said that the countries who are dependent on the oil passage for their consumption, should “just take it” under control.

He said that the US “had done the hard part” by destroying Iranian navy and military and it should not be hard for other countries to get the Hormuz reopened.
