Trump will chair a multilateral meeting with leaders and officials from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia and Pakistan, with the crisis in Gaza high on the agenda, according to news agency Reuters.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday, September 22, said that President Trump will deliver a “major speech” at the General Debate, outlining his administration’s foreign policy priorities and claiming credit for “ending seven global wars and conflicts” within his eight month in the office, reported news agency PTI.

New Delhi has consistently denied the claim, stating that the ceasefire followed directly talks after Pakistan Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) requested the cessation of armed conflict.
Sharif to highlight Pakistan’s role
Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) confirmed that Sharif will lead his country’s delegation to the high-level UNGA session in New York from September 22-26, accompanied by Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and other senior officials, as per PTI.
In his address, the Pak PM is expected to call on the international community to take “decisive action” to end the suffering in Gaza and underline Pakistan’s position on regional stability, terrorism, climate change, and Islamophobia, among others, as per PTI.
President Trump is scheduled to return to Washington on the night of Tuesday, September 23, after a series of engagements with world leaders and UN officials.
