TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Italy-based ALA Group to jointly pursue opportunities in India’s fast-growing aerospace and defence supply chain market.
The aerospace and defence market in India, estimated at around $28 billion, is among the most dynamic and high-margin segments within the broader industrial supply chain space, driven by sustained demand for complex, regulated and mission-critical logistics and procurement services, the company said in its exchange filing.
The partnership aims to establish a strategic framework for collaboration in aerospace and defence logistics, with an initial focus on India and the potential to expand into other geographies over time.
Under the proposed collaboration, the two companies will offer integrated supply chain solutions spanning both production and aftermarket lifecycles for aerospace and defence programmes. A key focus area will include defence offset programmes, alongside complex and regulated logistics and procurement services.
TVS SCS will leverage its established defence and utilities supply chain experience in the United Kingdom, along with its aerospace and power systems operations across India and the Asia-Pacific region. The company brings capabilities across procurement, regulatory and licensing expertise, government and stakeholder engagement, warehousing and logistics infrastructure, digital platforms, and local execution, according to the exchange filing.
Currently, TVS SCS generates around $140 million in annual revenues from its aerospace, defence and utilities operations, largely anchored in defence and utility programmes in the UK.
R. Dinesh, Executive Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, said the partnership combines TVS SCS’ scale and strong India presence with ALA’s global aerospace and defence expertise, positioning the company to participate meaningfully in the global aerospace and defence supply chain landscape. He added that the collaboration would also help expand from aftermarket and in-service support to production programmes, particularly in aerospace.
Vittorio Genna, CEO and Co-Founder of ALA Group, said the tie-up reflects ALA’s focus on technical depth, operational excellence and long-term partnerships, and creates a platform for sustainable growth across multiple regions in both civil and defence aerospace programmes.
Shares of TVS Supply Chain Solutions ended lower on Monday, February 16, by 4.06% at ₹125.80 on the NSE.
