US-Iran War LIVE Updates: Tensions in the West Asia conflict remain high on Sunday as Iran summoned Ukraine’s diplomats after Kyiv struck an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea, while Yemen’s Houthi rebels launched fresh attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure.Iran said it had summoned Ukrainian diplomats after a Ukrainian strike hit an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea, killing at least one sailor and injuring another. Kyiv said the ship was carrying Iran-linked military cargo for Russia, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accusing Moscow of assisting Iran in its military campaign in West Asia.

Separately, Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis claimed missile and drone attacks on Saudi Aramco oil facilities in Jizan and Yanbu along the Red Sea coast, saying the strikes were in retaliation for recent Saudi-led coalition attacks on Hodeidah port and Kamaran Island.
The latest developments come after US President Donald Trump said that the United States was “locked and loaded” for potential fresh strikes on Iran but had not yet decided whether to proceed, saying discussions between Washington and Tehran were ongoing. The US military, meanwhile, did not announce any new strikes on Iran overnight for the first time in nearly two weeks.
