At the direction of @POTUSthe @USTreasury is terminating all use of Anthropic products, including the use of its Claude platform, within our department.

The announcement comes after Trump directed every federal agency to immediately cease the use of Anthropic’s technology. The president accused the artificial intelligence company of attempting to influence how the US military fights and wins wars.
In a statement, Trump said the United States would “never allow a radical left, woke company to dictate how our great military fights and wins wars”, arguing that such decisions belong to the commander-in-chief and the leaders he appoints.

He also claimed that individuals at Anthropic had made a “disastrous mistake” by trying to “strong-arm” the Department of War into following their terms of service “instead of our Constitution”. Trump said there would be a six-month phase-out period for agencies currently using Anthropic’s products and warned of further action if the company did not comply.
