Voltamp Trans Q2 Results: Profit steady, revenue up 21% despite rain disruption

Date:

Voltamp Transformers Ltd posted a steady performance in the September quarter (Q2 FY26), with healthy revenue growth offset by delivery disruptions caused by heavy rainfall.

The transformer manufacturer’s net profit rose 4.2% year-on-year to ₹78.85 crore, compared to ₹75.67 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue increased 21.3% to ₹482.6 crore, while EBITDA grew 24.8% to ₹93.55 crore, maintaining a healthy operating margin of 19.4%.

The company said certain delivery sites became inaccessible due to heavy rain, impacting invoicing by around ₹10 crore.

Despite this, Voltamp achieved a key operational milestone during the quarter — successfully manufacturing and delivering its highest-rated power transformer to date, a 160 MVA, 220 kV class unit, ahead of schedule.

Voltamp also announced the elevation of Vijay Gupta as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Gupta, who has over three decades of experience in the transformer industry, has been with Voltamp for 18 years and previously worked with Crompton Greaves Ltd.

Meanwhile, work on the company’s greenfield EHV power transformer facility continues as planned, with completion targeted by June 2026. As of September, Voltamp had invested ₹82.8 crore towards the project.

The company began FY26 with an order book of ₹938 crore, adding new orders worth ₹1,377 crore during the year so far, and has another ₹92 crore in contracts pending formal confirmation. Voltamp said its order pipeline remains strong, supporting revenue visibility for the coming quarters.

Shares of Voltamp Transformers closed 1.54% higher at ₹7,199 on the NSE on Friday and are expected to be in focus on Monday as markets react to the results.
