Wang Yi India visit: China pledges support on fertilisers, rare earth magnets and infrastructure needs

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in New Delhi on Monday evening. Sources told CNBC-TV18 that the discussions were substantive, with Wang Yi assuring India that Beijing is addressing three of New Delhi’s pressing concerns.According to officials, China has promised to meet India’s needs related to fertilisers, rare earth magnets and tunnel boring machines.
These sectors are critical for India’s agriculture, high-tech industries, and infrastructure development.
The meeting marks a fresh round of dialogue between the two neighbours as they continue to navigate a complex bilateral relationship.Wang Yi is scheduled to hold further discussions with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval later in the evening.

He will also call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, underscoring the importance Beijing is attaching to this visit.
