Welspun Specialty Solutions wins ₹231.77 crore bid for BHEL’s supercritical thermal power projects

Welspun Specialty Solutions Ltd on Tuesday (March 4) said it has emerged as the L1 bidder for a supply contract from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), Trichy, for 4,050 tonne of stainless steel seamless boiler tubes for a series of supercritical thermal power projects.”We are pleased to inform that Welspun Specialty Solutions Limited (WSSL) has been notified as L1 bidder by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL, Trichy) for supply of approx 4,050 tons of Stainless steel Seamless Boiler Tubes for series of Super critical Thermal Power Projects. Formal contract will be released after internal approval process at BHEL,” according to a stock exchange filing.

The contract, valued at approximately ₹231.77 crore (excluding GST), will be formally awarded following BHEL’s internal approval process. WSSL secured the bid after undergoing a stringent assessment and approval process.”WSSL had participated in the said tender after stringent assessment and subsequent approval by BHEL. The total supply contract value will be Rs 231.77 Crores (excluding GST),” it added.

Shares of Welspun Specialty Solutions Ltd ended at ₹29.99, down by ₹1.57, or 4.97%, on the BSE.
