White House AI czar David Sacks said on Friday the U.S. should “declare victory and get out” of its war on Iran, a rare instance of a prominent figure in Donald Trump’s administration calling for an exit from the Iran conflict.

This comes as a rare call from a senior figure in Donald Trump’s administration urging the United States to exit the conflict with Iran.
Speaking on the All-In Podcast, Sacks said it was “a good time to declare victory and get out,” adding that the US had already degraded Iran’s military capabilities.
He said Washington should look for an “off-ramp” and pursue of-escalation through a ceasefire agreement or a negotiated settlement with Iran.
The US and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28, triggering retaliatory strikes from Iran and its ally Hezbollah on Israel and other parts of the Middle East.

The conflict has rattled global markets and pushed oil prices higher.
Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations said more than 1,300 people have been killed in Iran in US and Israeli strikes. Israel said 12 people have been killed by Iranian attacks, while the US military said seven of its personnel have died in the conflict.
