Houthis plan to resume missile and drone attacks on Red Sea ships and Israel, ending a pause agreed with the Trump administration and after an October ceasefire reduced Gaza hostilities.
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis said on Saturday, February 28, that they will resume attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
According to media reports, two senior Houthi officials, speaking anonymously in the absence of an official leadership announcement, said the group’s renewed campaign will target missile and drone assaults on shipping routes and on Israel in support of Iran.
One of the officials suggested that the first attack under the resumed offensive could occur as soon as “tonight.”

They had also suspended operations against Israel following an October ceasefire that reduced hostilities in Gaza.
