Akasa Air will expand its international network with the launch of daily direct flights between Mumbai and Phuket starting September 20, 2025, marking its first foray into Southeast Asia. Phuket will be the airline’s sixth international and 29th overall destination.The service will depart Mumbai at 7:45 am and arrive in Phuket at 2:35 pm local time. The return flight will depart from Phuket at 3:35 pm and arrive in Mumbai at 7:15 pm. Both flights will operate non-stop.
The airline stated that the addition of Phuket is aimed at catering to the growing demand for direct connections between India and Thailand. It added that the new route is also expected to support business travel and strengthen existing trade links between the two countries.
On August 7 this year, Akasa Air completed three years of operations, having flown over 19 million passengers since its launch in 2022. The company now operates 30 aircraft. With this launch, Akasa Air will now connect 23 domestic cities and six international destinations.
