Export licenses to ​China for hundreds ‌of US beef plants that ​had just ​been renewed after a ⁠year-plus hiatus ​are now listed ​as expired, according to Chinese customs.

China’s ​General Administration ​of Customs was not ‌reachable ⁠by phone and did not immediately respond to ​faxed ​questions ⁠from Reuters about why ​the change ​had ⁠been made.
