The Edelweiss Consumption Fund seeks to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing predominantly in equity and equity-related securities of companies in the consumption and allied sectors.

The fund aims to capitalise on India’s booming consumption market, which is expected to witness $4.3 trillion in consumer spending by 2030.

It will focus on core, emerging, and cyclical consumption themes, spanning sectors like FMCG, consumer durables, healthcare, education, and more.

Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, highlighted India’s position as one of the top consumer markets globally.

“With rising disposable incomes, urbanization, and a youthful demographic, India’s consumption-driven businesses are set to thrive. This fund aims to harness these growth opportunities, especially with attractive entry points resulting from recent market corrections,” Gupta said.

The fund’s investment style is agnostic, focusing on businesses classified as quality leaders, growth champions, and value picks. It will adopt a diversified approach to investing, aligned with India’s evolving consumer preferences and economic resilience.

The Edelweiss Consumption Fund is open to a wide range of investors, with a minimum investment amount of ₹100.

The scheme will be overseen by Dhruv Bhatia, Trideep Bhattacharya, and Amit Vora.
