Sources said both bills are in the final stages of inter-ministerial consultations and could be introduced in the first half of the session, signalling the government’s intent to push ahead with long-pending financial-sector reforms. The proposed amendments are expected to widen the regulatory scope of the insurance sector and fine-tune resolution processes under the IBC to improve recovery outcomes.
The government is also preparing to present the Supplementary Demands for Grants, likely in the early part of the Winter Session.
