Indian Hume Pipe wins ₹459 crore Telangana water supply order for Greater Warangal

Concrete pipe manufacturing company Indian Hume Pipe Company Ltd on Wednesday (April 29) said it has received a Letter of Acceptance for a ₹458.69 crore order from the Public Health & Municipal Engineering Department, Hyderabad, Telangana, for a water supply improvement project in Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation.The order, awarded under UIDF funding, pertains to the execution of the Water Supply Improvement Scheme in Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation, Telangana, the company said in an exchange filing on Tuesday. The contract value is ₹458.69 crore, excluding GST.

The work order has been awarded by the Superintending Engineer (PH), Warangal Circle, Warangal, under the Government of Telangana’s Public Health & Municipal Engineering Department.

The project is to be executed over a period of 24 months. The company said neither its promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the entity awarding the contract.

Indian Hume Pipe Company Ltd is a leading manufacturer of hume pipes and allied products. The company caters to infrastructure projects across sectors like water supply, irrigation, drainage, power generation and rail transport.

Shares of Indian Hume Pipe Company Ltd ended at ₹321.55, up by ₹3.15, or 0.99%, on the BSE.
