KP Green Engineering wins ₹819 crore BSNL order, stock down 4%

KP Green Engineering Ltd. has received advance work orders worth ₹819 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for telecom infrastructure works under the government’s 4G Saturation Project, the company said on Monday, January 12.In a regulatory filing, KP Green Engineering said the orders cover two clusters across multiple states and represent the largest contract win in the company’s history.


The first advance work order, valued at ₹483 crore (including GST), pertains to Cluster C covering Maharashtra and Goa. The second order, worth ₹336 crore (including GST), relates to Cluster J, which includes Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Under the scope of work, KP Green Engineering will supply and erect ground-based telecom towers, act as an Infrastructure-as-a-Service Provider for allied telecom infrastructure, and undertake operations and maintenance of the sites for five years. The O&M period can be extended by another five years, in line with BSNL’s project terms.
The company said the orders significantly strengthen its executable order book and reinforce its presence in the telecom infrastructure and EPC segment. It added that the win underscores its capability to execute large-scale, geographically diverse government-backed projects.The execution timeline will be as per BSNL’s project schedule and specifications under the 4G Saturation Project / BOP-BIP programme.

Shares of KP Green Energies Ltd. were trading 4.17% down at ₹316.15 as of 11:42 am on Monday. The stock has fallen 37.17% in the last six months.
