Premier Energies reports strong operating performance in Q1; order book above ₹8,000 crore

Shares of Premier Energies Ltd. reported their June quarter results over the weekend, which were stronger on the operational front from last year.The company’s revenue increased by 10% from the year-ago period to ₹1,820.7 core, while its Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 53% year-on-year to ₹548.3 crore.
EBITDA margins for the period increased by nearly nine percentage points from last year to 30.2% from 21.6%, while net profit increased by 55.4% to ₹307.8 crore from ₹198.1 crore last year.
The company has laid out targets for annual capacity across its business segments:
It aims to have 10 GW capacity annually for the Wafers & Ingots business, and a 10 GW capacity for the cells business over the next three years.For the Aluminium Frames division, the company is targeting annual capacity of 36,000 MT and modules capacity of 110 GW by financial year 2028.

At the end of the June quarter, Premier Energies had an order book of ₹8,602 crore, 100% of which comes from the domestic market.

The modules business contributed 74% of the overall topline during the quarter, while the Cells business contributed 23%.

Shares of Premier Energies ended 1.5% lower on Friday at ₹1,084.7. The stock is down 22% from its recent 52-week high.
