He noted that members of the Iranian delegation presented forward-looking initiatives during the negotiations, yet these efforts did not translate into trust-building outcomes.
He added that the United States has now understood Iran’s “logic and principles,” and must decide whether it is willing and able to earn Tehran’s trust going forward.Emphasising Iran’s broader approach, Ghalibaf described diplomacy as “another method of authority” alongside military struggle, asserting that Tehran will not cease efforts “for a moment” to consolidate what he termed the achievements of the “forty days of Iran’s national defense.”

Ghalibaf further thanked the Iranian public, describing the country as “a body with 90 million souls,” and acknowledged nationwide support, saying citizens had taken to the streets following the guidance of the Supreme Leader and backed the delegation during the talks.
Though he praised his colleagues for their role in the “intense 21-hour negotiations,” offering appreciation for their efforts.
Earlier today, after nearly 21 hours of negotiations, the United States and Iran failed to reach an agreement on peace terms in Islamabad.
US Vice President JD Vance had issued a statement from Islamabad on the matter after the meetings. In his statement, Vance said, “The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement.”
Further, he added that the Iranians have chosen not to accept their terms. “We negotiated for several hours, and we have not yet reached an agreement that is satisfactory for both sides. We need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek nuclear weapons and tools which will enable them to achieve nuclear weapons. The President is very clear about this,” added Vance.
