Here’s why Honasa Consumer shares jumped up to 11% on Thursday before cooling off

Shares of Honasa Consumer Ltd. pared its intraday gains on Thursday, April 9, having gained as much as 11% in reaction to its fourth quarter business update.The company said it delivered a strong performance in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2026. It expects its business to deliver growth in late twenties during the quarter compared to the same quarter last year, driven by strong growth across four categories.

Honasa Consumer said its largest brand Mamaearth continued its growth momentum and is expected to deliver growth in the teens during the January-March period.
The company went on to add that its younger brands continued their growth trajectory and are expected to deliver growth in the mid-twenties.Honasa Consumer added that its offline channel remained a key growth driver, and general trade and modern trade are expected to continue their strong growth momentum, supported by improving distribution coverage.

The company said this also marks the first full quarter of their acquisition of BTM Ventures Pvt. Ltd., parent of Reginald Men and Molecular Company, which is expected to deliver a strong performance.

Honasa Consumer said it expects the business to sustain its overall operating profit margin profile in the fourth quarter, led by average in marketing spends and fixed overheads.

Shares of Honasa Consumer gained 11.2% to hit an intraday of ₹348.65 apiece. The stock later pared its gains and was trading 3.3% up at ₹323.75 apiece at 10.30 am. It has gained 12.3% in the past month.
