US-Iran War Live Updates: US President Donald Trump has threatened to strike Iran 20 times harder for every attack, while speaking to reporters from the Air Force One according to Al Jazeera.Trump said “I don’t know. We have many ways we can win, but we’ve already won militarily,” when he was asked of the possibility of a full-scale military attack against Iran.

The United States recently launched a second wave of attacks on Iran today after President Donald Trump said “harder” strikes would be carried out in Iran.

The US Central Command confirmed the attacks on X saying that the purpose of the strikes was to further degrade Iran’s freedom of navigation in the critical Strait of Hormuz.

The attacks are the second set after the US launched retaliatory attacks on cities on the southern coast of Iran in what it said was aimed at the country’s defence and aerospace military capabilities.

The retaliatory attacks were launched in response to Iran’s alleged attack of a tanker that had used the US approved Omani route in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has not officially denied or claimed the attack.

The wave of attacks marks the end of a ceasefire that had been agreed between both countries after the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. It also resulted in the US revoking the temporary suspension on sanctions imposed upon Iranian crude oil.

The latest insurgence comes amid the funeral of Iran’s former Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khameinei who was killed alongside some family members. Khameinei’s body was carried to the Iraqi city of Najaf yesterday. He is set to be buried in Mashhad, Iran today.
