US Central Command said it struck the engine room of a vessel headed toward an Iranian port after issuing multiple warnings, adding that more than 115 ships have been redirected since the blockade began in April.
Meanwhile, Iran is moving to formalise its control over the Strait of Hormuz, with lawmakers set to vote on legislation governing the strategic waterway.
