Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Q3: Business grows 14.28%, deposits up 12.53%

Private sector lender Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. reported 14.28% year-on-year growth in total business to ₹107,470 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2025.

Total business, which indicates overall operational size, grew from 94,042 crore in the same quarter last year. It recorded 4.93% growth from ₹1,02,417 crore in the previous quarter.

Deposits saw 12.53% year-on-year growth to 56,707 crore (provisional figure), up from 50,392 crore in the year-ago period. Deposits grew 2.32% sequentially from ₹55,421 crore in the September quarter.

The private sector lender saw advances increase to 50,763 crore, up 16.30% from 43,650 crore. It recorded a 8.01% sequential growth from ₹46,996 crore in the previous quarter.

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank saw 14.93% year-on-year growth in its Current Account Savings Account (CASA) deposits to 15,847 crore from 13,788 crore. It grew 4.51% from 15,163 crore in the previous quarter.

The bank’s shares are trading at 517.90 apiece, which is marginally higher (0.80%) than the day’s opening on the NSE.

Last month, the lender opened five new branches in Velandipalayam, Kalapatti, Davanagere, Puthukkadai, and Nikol. It also appointed Thiru S Balasubramanian, Deputy Vice President, as the data protection officer effective December 26, 2025.
