Urban Company turns red in Q3 on InstaHelp scale-up costs; net loss at ₹21 crore, revenue up 33%

Consumer services platform Urban Company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹21.3 crore in Q3FY26, compared with a net profit of ₹231.8 crore in the year-ago period. The company attributed the decline to continued investments in scaling its quick housekeeping vertical, InstaHelp.

Sequentially, losses narrowed 64% from ₹59.3 crore in Q2FY26.

Revenue from operations rose 33% YoY and 1% QoQ to ₹382.7 crore in the December quarter. Including other income of ₹36.1 crore, total income stood at ₹418.8 crore, up 33% YoY.

Total expenses increased 43% over last year to ₹432.8 crore in the third quarter.

The company had booked a one-time deferred tax credit of ₹215.5 crore in the year-ago quarter. Excluding this, Urban Company had reported a ₹16.4 crore profit in Q3FY25.

Urban Company posted an adjusted EBITDA loss of ₹17 crore. Excluding InstaHelp, adjusted EBITDA stood at ₹44 crore profit. InstaHelp alone incurred an adjusted EBITDA loss of ₹61 crore in the period.

InstaHelp continued to scale, reaching 1.61 million orders (+176% QoQ) with net transaction value (NTV) of ₹28 crore (+178% QoQ). The company said operating metrics improved, lowering adjusted EBITDA loss per order.

“We remain excited about the potential of this category and will invest meaningfully to scale up the business,” Urban Company said in a note.

In its shareholder letter, the company reported a 32% YoY rise in overall NTV to ₹1,081 crore, serving 78 lakh transacting users during the quarter.

Urban Company (formerly UrbanClap) has approved a strategic partnership with Amber Enterprises India Limited to manufacture and supply products under its in-house brand, ‘Native’.This agreement, formalised on January 23, 2026, aims to strengthen the supply chain for Native’s product portfolio, which currently includes smart water purifiers and electronic smart locks, and supports their upcoming expansion into the room air conditioner market.

Shares of Urban Company ended 3.8% below at ₹124.70 on the NSE today (January 23).
